Birthday decorations for the Old as Dirt party theme can be really fun.  Ideas include a banner that reads “Happy 30th Birthday Old Timer” either placed outside or inside where you are holding the party. 

Tables can be decorated with cow print fabric and cowboy boots for the centerpieces.  You can either fill the boot with sunflowers or attach balloons to it.  If you don’t like these ideas, you can use plain old red-and-white checked tablecloths and use metal coffeepots or cowboy hats as the centerpieces.

Use bandanas for napkins tied up with a rope lasso or stuck through a toy six shooter.  Hang cowboy hats on the backs of chairs to really pull this party together.

For the black-and-white barbeque, you can use simple white tables placed end to end to make enough room for everyone invited.  You can use regular folding chairs that have black and white checked slipcovers on them.  These are easy to make yourself with some hot glue and a stapler.

You can make centerpieces for the tables that are hitachi grills and place a red candle in the middle and have it surrounded by red roses.

If your tables have holes for an umbrella, you can take an old umbrella with the fabric taken off and add hanging candles and string beads to make a chandelier. 

To frame the area you will be partying in, you can set 4 charcoal grills with the lids off and place a Boston fern or other big potted plant inside it.
